TINA DEVOE
she/her/hers
Tina resides in the state of Connecticut with her family, but will always be a Long Islander at heart. It’s where her love of reading and beach-going were born.
Tina has a passion for helping young learners succeed, and enjoys passing on a love of reading to the next generations by providing explicit reading interventions. She has learned through her career how language-based disabilities correlate with difficulties in writing and mathematics, and she works diligently to empower students to break down the pernicious English language.

Tina has served as a general educator, special educator, private tutor, learning specialist, Resource Room educator, curriculum coordinator, and virtual literacy tutor in both the public and private sectors of Manhattan, Westchester and Fairfield County.

At Tides, House, Tina’s hope is to educate the whole child by addressing school challenges, building self-esteem, coordinating with school staff and administration, and sustaining a home-school connection with parents and caregivers. She has provided countless families with guidance on navigating school related services and offers a supportive ear for parents. Tina is ready to help your child fall in love with reading, and more importantly, themselves.
